I am thrilled to rejoin the VirtualShip team as a Research Officer, having previously been its Student-Assistant in 2024-2025. I will be mostly working on planning and producing the VR application of VirtualShip (360º material), as well as with the strategic communication of the project. For this, I will be joining several sea-going expeditions.
After studying at the universities of Cambridge, Lisbon, and ANU in Australia, I studied for a master’s in History and Philosophy of Science at Utrecht University. My thesis focused on the imaging methods of geosciences, specifically the moving image as a technoepistemic instrument and the questions of methodology, scale, and time.
Feel free to get in touch, especially if you have ideas on how better to implement VR as a pedagogical tool for postgraduate education!
