We’ve just published "The Virtual Ship Classroom: Developing Virtual Fieldwork as an Authentic Learning Environment for Physical Oceanography" in Current: the journal of marine education.
Our study explores how virtual fieldwork —using VirtualShip— can serve as an accessible, engaging alternative to traditional oceanography expeditions. The results? Higher student engagement, improved learning outcomes, and increased self-efficacy.
